Appointments

The doctors at the practice will be able to assist patients via both telehealth and in-person appointments, ensuring all COVID-safe protocols are followed.

Please call the practice on 9923 7888 to arrange for an appointment and request further information about the process.

Kindly DO NOT arrive at the practice without calling first.

We thank you for your understanding and co-operation as we work to ensure the ongoing safety and well-being of our patients, doctors and staff.

Appointments with our GP’s or Allied Health Providers can be made by calling

03 9923 7888das

Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and GP. Emergencies will always be given priority and our receptionists will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay or your GP has been called away.

Longer consultation times are available for existing patients, so please ask our receptionist if you require some extra time. If you are unsure about the time that may be required to manage a particular problem, please discuss this with our receptionists who are trained to assist in this matter.

If you or a family member requires an interpreter service, we can organise this for you. Please let the receptionist know when you make the appointment.

Telehealth appointments are available for existing patients who have been seen in person at the clinic at least once in the last 12 months. Please advise the receptionist if you wish to book a Telehealth appointment and they can confirm your eligibility.

The clinic also runs a reminder system and you will be sent an SMS reminder 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Walk in appointments

The clinic WILL NOT be offering Walk in appointments at this time. Kindly DO NOT arrive at the practice without calling first.

The clinic operates primarily on an appointment system. However, we do try to accommodate patients who walk into the clinic without a pre- booked appointment. In this case, you will be advised by our reception staff of the approximate time at which you will be seen by the GP.

New Patients

Please call the clinic on 9923 7888 for further information regarding registering as a new patient of the clinic.

The clinic welcomes new patients but we require that you complete the registration paperwork prior to making an appointment and attending the clinic. Please call the clinic on 9923 7888 and speak to our Reception team for further information regarding this process.

Arrangements for care outside normal opening hours

The Clinic provides 24-hour care for our patients. If you have an urgent medical problem when the clinic is closed, please ring the clinic number on 9923 7888 and you will be provided with the contact details for the accredited medical deputising service used by the clinic – National Home Doctor Service (NHDS). Alternatively you can call NHDS directly on 13 SICK (137 425).

If you have an emergency you should dial 000 and request Ambulance assistance.

Home visits

Home visits are available for regular patients of this clinic living within a 5km radius of the clinic and whose condition prevents them from attending the clinic. If you require a home visit please contact us as early as possible in the day to enable the appropriate arrangements to be made. You may incur an out of pocket expense for this service in most instances. Please discuss this with the receptionist.

Results

Victorian and Federal Government Privacy legislation stipulates that doctors are required to abide by certain legal obligations when communicating personal health information to their patients. In line with these requirements, all patients must make a follow-up appointment to receive all test results, unless otherwise advised by the doctor. You will be contacted to make an appointment if a result needs to be discussed with the doctor urgently.

Repeat Prescriptions and Special Reports

All repeat prescriptions and special reports require an appointment with the doctor.

Reminder System

The clinic has a strong on-going commitment to preventative care. We operate a computer-based reminder system to notify our patients if they are due for a review of their medical situation. You may therefore be issued with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventive health services appropriate to your care. If you would like to receive a reminder for your next review, or if you would prefer to be excluded from our reminder system, please let our receptionist know.
