  • Bronwen consults at the Clinic on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and one Saturday morning per month.
  • Taisia consults at the Clinic on Tuesdays.


  • Patients with Mental Health Care Plans: Bulkbilled to Medicare.
  • Private patients: $150 – $165 (1 hour Appointment)

About the Psychologists

Bronwen Francis B. A. Grad Dip (Psych), MPsych, MAPS

Bronwen is a registered counselling psychologist who has gained a wealth of experience over the past 14 years working with adolescents and adults in both community and clinical psychiatric services. She values the importance of creating a safe environment for people to both explore and come to the necessary choices toward growth and change.

She is experienced in helping young people and adults across a diverse range of life experiences and needs including:

Bronwen’s uses a combination of therapies and strategies, tailored to meet an individual’s needs; her counselling orientation is person centred and includes a cognitive behavioural approach. She focuses and assists people to further their self understanding, enhance their wellbeing and build life skills. She is trained in Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

She enjoys using a flexible approach and implements interventions to suit each clients’ unique experience and life circumstances.

Bronwen joined Coburg Central Medical Clinic on 5 March 2012 and has come on board at Summit Medical Group.


Taisia Thompson BA(Hons), MPsych(Clin), MAPS

Taisia is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Taisia has experience treating adults with a broad range of life issues including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, adjustment to major life changes, relationship issues, and sleep difficulties. Taisia has also helped people who are experiencing difficulty adjusting to loss of function due to health related issues, such as acquired brain injury and chronic pain. Taisia has a particular interest and experience in working with older adults.

Taisia tailors her therapeutic approach to meet the particular needs of each client using a variety of evidenced based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Taisia joined Summit Medical Group in 2015 and also currently works in Aged Psychiatry in the public mental health sector.
