She is experienced in a range of general clinical conditions and has a particular interest in chronic disease management via a team care approach. Her specialities include: Heart health; Dislipidaemia and Diabetes. Other interests are in Weight management (overweight and obesity) through diet and lifestyle modification; Oncology (nutritional impact of cancer); Gastrointestinal Disorders (Celiac disease or gluten sensitive enteropathy); Lactose maldigestion and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD such as Crohn’s disease & Ulcerative Colitis). She has further interests in motivational counselling 1:1 and is also highly experienced with group classes, corporate wellness programs, supermarket tours and has additional qualifications in preventative health and risk management.

Nalani promotes an evidence based education and outcomes approach to diagnosis and intervention. Individualised nutrition prescriptions are provided that meet nutritional requirements, while fitting into lifestyle and family needs and patients are monitored regularly to evaluate self-management strategies in achievement of their goals.

Dietitian consultations can be claimable on health insurance or through Medicare. Most private health insurance companies reimburse a proportion of the consultation fee under Extras cover. However you will need to check with your insurer for confirmation of your level of cover. Rebates are available through Medicare only via the Enhanced Primary Care scheme, which requires a referral from your GP. Please check with your GP to see if you are eligible.
